Job Title: Electronics Technician
Job Summary
The Electronic Equipment Technician is responsible for assembling and testing electrical equipment. Reads and interprets instructions, assembles parts and tools, and fits electronic components together. Work Hours (Shift)
M-F 6am-3:30pm, may have overtime
Pay (Hourly or Annual Salary)
$31/hr. - $40/hr.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, work orders, and technical specifications.
Assemble electrical/electronic systems, subassemblies, wiring, and casings using tools such as rivets, bolts, soldering, or micro-welding equipment.
Inspect wiring, assemblies, and circuits for quality and accuracy.
Test products and functional performance to ensure compliance with specifications.
Identify, troubleshoot, and correct defects; adjust or repair electrical equipment as needed.
Fabricate or modify parts using shop equipment to meet design requirements.
Verify dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges).
Populate, modify, or replace components on printed circuit boards (PCBs).
Perform manual assembly and testing for small-scale production of electronic devices used in aviary, grain, and monitoring systems.
Build products such as electric motors, computers, and electronic control or sensing devices.
Review work activities and progress with supervisors to ensure alignment and quality.
Package finished products for shipment according to company standards.
Skills and Abilities
Accurate and fast keyboarding skills.
Strong math and reasoning skills.
Proficient using MS Office, particularly Excel.
Clear, effective communicator, both through email and on the phone.
Must possess analytical and problem solving skills.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or GED.
Prior Electronics Assembly/Testing Experience Safety Responsibilities.
Practice and follow all GSI safety policies and procedures.
Work Environment
This role involves both office-based work and field visits to client sites as needed. The Sales Manager may need to travel regularly and work flexible hours to meet client and business demands.
